A quarter of our bones are below our ankles. 26 bones, 33 joints and over 100 muscles, ligaments & tendons. For the sake of our hips, knees, spine, balance, mobility, pelvis …(need I go on?!) … we really should look after them better than we do.
Our cultural norm of squashing them into stiff heeled shoes is just not good for any part of our body (other than maybe our ego 😉 )… if you’re just beginning to show your feet some love then start with a little barefoot time at home and build up from there … if you’re well on your way to barefoot time then make sure you get yourself some zero drop, flexible barefoot shoes, they’re so good!! If you’re in the U.K. then be sure to check out my UK barefoot directory
