What if you could do something about the loss of mobility, strength and balance associated with ageing?
What if these thing were more to do with how you move than how old you are?
This is the experience of the four wonderful ladies (in their 70s) who co-authored Dynamic Aging, Katy Bowman’s latest book. These ladies avoided surgeries, eliminated pain, and regained ease of movement they thought had been lost permanently to old age by following the teachings of Katy Bowman.
This two-part workshop will provide you with the basis of the programme these ladies followed so you too can begin to reshape your movement for better, stronger and more dynamic ageing.
We will explore how our bodies have been shaped by our movement habits, learn simple exercises, and discuss ways to change our everyday habits to support improved mobility, balance, function and strength.
This Dynamic Ageing Workshop, run by Tanya Gribble, is a beginner workshop for people of any age and ability. No previous experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome.
What will we be doing?
» We will explore how our body has adapted to our habits. We’ll look at our posture and our alignment.
» We will be strengthening and lengthening key muscles that affect our balance and mobility in simple exercises that you can do at home.
» We will become aware of how the way we move affects our fuction and strength.
» We will learn how to adapt our daily habits for the benefit of better ageing.
» We will all work safely and within our boundaries.
